Bus Operator - Driver

About the Role

Indian Trails is hiring a full-time Bus Operator - Driver in Kalamazoo, Owosso, and Romulus, MI. You'll get paid to drive, meet new people, and provide excellent service while operating one of the newest and largest fleets in Michigan.

Your schedule will vary based on routes and charter trips. Some days you'll drive a regular bus route, while others you may take groups on charter trips. If you're on a multi-day trip, we'll cover your hotel and meals.

Training lasts 4 - 6 weeks, and we'll pay you while you earn your CDL B with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements, if you don't already have them.

Responsibilities

• Ensure passengers get to their destinations safely and comfortably.
• Drive different routes and stay on schedule.
• Provide friendly customer service, greet passengers, and help with luggage.
• Create a smooth and enjoyable ride for passengers on regular bus routes or charter trips.

Requirements

• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• CDL (A or B) with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements and an excellent driving record (or the ability to obtain one).
• Ability to obtain and enhance a license or passport for travel outside the U.S.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and Breath Alcohol test.
• Enjoyment of traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people.
• Professional and courteous attitude when working with passengers.
• Must pass a criminal background check with no prior alcohol or drug-related convictions and no felonies.

Pay

Start at $18/hour during training and $24/hour after training.
