Bus Driver Trainee

About the Program

Participate in paid training classes to receive instruction on the skills and certifications necessary to become a School Bus Driver for Newport-Mesa Unified School District. New training classes begin soon.

Training Details

• Minimum of 80 hours of training over 4 to 6 weeks.
• Classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction designed to acquire the skills needed to operate a school bus.
• Training covers route navigation within established time schedules.
• Classes are scheduled according to need, with new sessions starting approximately every two months.

This is a limited-term assignment as a Bus Driver Trainee.
