Bus Driver - Shuttle Driver - CDL

About the role

The Coach Operator transports corporate employees between various stops while adhering to safety protocols, schedules, and pre-determined routes.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional attendance and punctuality
• Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues
• Compliance with all traffic laws, and federal and state transit regulations
• Interact with customers, central dispatch team, and managers in a professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service and support to all riders, including answering questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays
• Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two-way radios or hands-free devices
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A or B with Airbrake and Passenger endorsements
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check

Qualifications

• Hard Requirements: CDL (Class A or B), Airbrake Endorsement, Passenger endorsement, clean driving record, ability to pass DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Preferred Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, at least 1 year of driving experience

Skills & Physical Demands

• Use route navigation apps and other technology, including knowledge of the area for pick-up and drop-off
• Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents
• Ability to safely operate and drive without a break for a minimum of one hour and forty-five minutes
• Ability to drive in fluctuating weather and terrain
• Flexible schedule to work outside of regular days and shifts, including split shifts
• Ability to lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers
