Bus Driver - Shuttle Driver - CDL

About the role

WeDriveU operates private shuttle and public transit systems across the U.S., serving millions of passenger journeys a year. As a Shuttle Driver/Tour Guide, you will follow safety protocols, schedules, and pre-determined routes while acting as a tour guide. The vehicle is open-air, electric, holds 62 passengers, and tows a trailer through narrow roadways.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional attendance and punctuality
• Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues
• Compliance with all traffic laws, and federal and state transit regulations
• Interact with customers, central dispatch, and managers in a professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays
• Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and traffic disruptions using two-way radios or hands-free devices
• Plug and charge vehicles at the end of the day

Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Commercial driver’s license (A or B) with passenger and airbrake endorsements
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Use route navigation apps and maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents
• Ability to safely operate and drive without a break for a minimum of one hour and forty-five minutes
• Ability to drive in fluctuating weather and terrain
• Flexible schedule to work outside of regular days and shifts, including split shifts
• Ability to lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers

Qualifications

• Hard Requirements: Clean driving record, commercial driver’s license (A or B), passenger endorsement, airbrake endorsement, ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Preferred Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, at least 1 year of driving experience
