About the role

The Port of Seattle Rental Car Facility is looking for safety-minded drivers that will provide service to SEA Airport passengers from the Rental Car Facility to the airport. This is a closed loop that is not open to the public! As a Bus Driver, you will safely and efficiently transport SEA Airport passengers to and from airport facilities to the SEA Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Operate 40’ passenger buses with automatic transmissions, along a fixed route according to time schedules, while complying with all traffic regulations.
  • Perform routine pre and post trip walk around visual inspections to check for damage to vehicle and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Report any defects to duty supervisor and file appropriate trip reports using inspection application.
  • Use a radio system to communicate with other drivers, supervisors, and base operations via established radio procedures.
  • Attend training and staff meetings as required.
  • Respond to airport emergencies as needed.
  • Monitor fuel levels and perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with a Passenger (P1) endorsement and a Department of Transportation Health Card.

  • Customer Service Minded – experience providing excellent customer service and problem resolution.
  • Must not have been convicted or cited for certain driving offenses in the past 5 years, including reckless driving, negligent driving, or driving under the influence.

Qualifications

Experienced – you have a valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with a Passenger (P1) endorsement and a Department of Transportation Health Card.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $28.59

Schedule

This is a seven-day-a-week and twenty-four-hour-a-day facility. Normal work schedule will vary. Must be able and willing to work all assigned shifts, including weekends and will be required to work during emergencies. Relief Bus Drivers do not have a regular schedule and no guarantee of hours, but are scheduled for an average of twenty hours a week.
