Bus Driver - (PT) $250 Retention Bonus

About the role

Safely and compliantly drives a 44-seat passenger bus to transport military passengers over specified routes to local points on Fort Sill Army installation according to a time schedule. Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort. Complies with local traffic regulations and reports delays or accidents to the transportation motor pool (TMP).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, and follow all DOT, OSHA, and installation safety rules.
• Load and unload personnel safely using proper equipment and techniques.
• Coordinate with supervisors and dispatchers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with general support tasks as assigned.
• Comply with installation access and security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must have current and valid CDL A or CDL B license.
• Clean driving record for the past seven (7) years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Valid and current medical card or insurance equivalent.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result, obtain and maintain a CAC.
• Applicant must possess a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver’s license.

Desired Qualification

Completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 88M – Motor Transport Operator desired.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, reaching, and operating in tiring positions.
• Periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
• Personal protective equipment (e.g., eye protection, gloves) may be required.

Pay

SCA $23/hour + $5.09/hour Health and Welfare Benefits and $250 retention bonus after successfully completing 90 days of employment.

Schedule

Part-time, up to 30 hours per week; variable shifts.
