Bus Driver, Part-time
About the role
Westminster Christian Academy, founded in 1976 as an independent, coeducational school, provides a comprehensive college preparatory program for 970 students in grades 7 through 12. The school is located in suburban St. Louis County, Missouri, on a 70‑acre campus, approximately 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis. Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life. The Bus Driver position is a part‑time role, averaging 10‑15 scheduled hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Transports students to and from various locations throughout the St. Louis area for after‑school activities
- Monitor and ensure the safety of students
- Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route and report deficiencies to the Director of Facilities
Qualifications
- A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
- Membership or faithful church attendance
- Minimum Class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
Pay
Starting pay rate is $25.00 per hour.
Schedule
During the school year, bus drivers work between 2:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with the need varying daily based on after‑school activities.
