The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW) is an association of nine YMCAs serving Chester County. Responsibilities

• Prepare and check the safety and operational effectiveness of the vehicle; report any safety concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain the vehicle in good working order, ensuring all required maintenance is performed, including appropriate fueling.
• Maintain trip schedule for children as defined by staff.
• Drive YMCA vehicles according to YMCA policies, procedures, and state laws.

Requirements

• 3 years of bus driving experience required; 5 years preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• CDL driver’s license with passenger and school bus endorsements required.
• Submit medical clearances to supervisor to maintain CDL credentials.
• Annual completion of online defensive driving required.
• Good driving record required (checked annually).
• Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

• Ability to safely drive a bus for long periods of time.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations.

Schedule

Though used primarily for camps seasonally, this position can also be year-round depending on branch programs and needs.
