EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL VACANCY BUS DRIVER TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT About The Position A school bus driver is responsible for the safe operation and transport of school aged children to and from school. A full time bus driver position is fully benefitted and has a minimum 5 hour per scheduled work day guarantee. A commercial driver license (CDL) is required however, paid training is provided to obtain that license. Holders of a CDL are required to undergo periodic physicals; are subject to federal drug testing requirements; and are held to higher driving standards as a professional driver. This is a challenging but rewarding position. Calendar: School Year - 163 to 184 days dependent on route assignment Reports to: Transportation Manager Hourly rate of pay: Starting pay is $21.77 per hour to $25.56 per hour depending upon previous relevant experience. Actual starting pay rate will be determined after a review of the work experience provided on the job application.
