Bus Driver

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bus, van, or other transportation vehicle to transport residents to scheduled appointments, social events, and outings
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, courteous, and respectful to our residents and their families
• Aid residents with their mobility and mobility aids, if needed, and provide emotional support as necessary
• Maintain accurate records of transportation services, including trip manifests, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance schedules
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of transportation services and meet the needs of our residents
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to the designated supervisor

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement
• The ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
