Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the front-line point of contact, delivering top-notch customer service.
  • Safely operate various types of buses through city and freeway traffic.
  • Transport passengers safely and courteously according to specified routes.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding bus operation, traffic, and safety.
  • Aid customers, including those with disabilities, in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Promote safety procedures to reduce accidents.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including farebox, lift, radio, and emergency equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus and equipment are in proper working condition.
  • Coincide detour, accident, and incident information with radio dispatch.
  • Make effective independent decisions based on safety, experience, training, and policies.
  • Follow procedures for fare collection and passenger counting.
  • Report and follow up on accidents or unusual incidents.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must pass a DOT Physical exam.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
