Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the front-line point of contact, delivering top-notch customer service.
- Safely operate various types of buses through city and freeway traffic.
- Transport passengers safely and courteously according to specified routes.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding bus operation, traffic, and safety.
- Aid customers, including those with disabilities, in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Promote safety procedures to reduce accidents.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including farebox, lift, radio, and emergency equipment.
- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus and equipment are in proper working condition.
- Coincide detour, accident, and incident information with radio dispatch.
- Make effective independent decisions based on safety, experience, training, and policies.
- Follow procedures for fare collection and passenger counting.
- Report and follow up on accidents or unusual incidents.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass a DOT Physical exam.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
