Bus Driver

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a school bus in accordance with all federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Transport students to and from school on assigned routes.
  • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain order and ensure student safety while on the bus.
  • Complete required records and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
  • Attend required trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Valid Maine Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements, or ability to obtain.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and physical examination.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to student safety.
  • Experience driving a school bus preferred, but training may be provided for qualified candidates.

Pay

Compensation based on experience, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement Bus Driver Range - $25-$31.50 per hour.
