Bus Driver

About the role

The Bus Driver position at Fountain Valley Elementary School District is responsible for operating school buses safely and efficiently to transport students to and from school.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses safely and efficiently
• Ensure student safety during transportation
• Follow established routes and schedules
• Load and unload students and equipment safely
• Communicate effectively with students and parents
• Maintain bus cleanliness and safety standards

Requirements / Qualifications

• Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of experience in the operation of a motor vehicle
• Valid California School Bus Drivers Certificate Restriction #1 only
• Valid California Class B driver license with passenger + S endorsements
• Valid medical card (DL-51)
• Valid Red Cross First Aid card - only required if there is a restriction #6 at the bottom of the Special Driver certificate
