About the role
Darien School District 61 serves students in grades Pre-School through 8th grade. Bus routes are held on school days in the morning and afternoon.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned bus routes safely and efficiently
- Ensure student safety and supervision on buses
- Follow all district policies and procedures
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Passing score on a background check
- Experience driving school buses preferred
Qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to operate a school bus
Skills
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Strong customer service orientation
