Responsibilities

• Assist residents in their transportation needs by driving passenger buses to and from activities and destinations, ensuring the safety of all passengers
• Drive daily and weekly route schedules as well as special requests
• Assist residents with loading and unloading the bus (operate lift, carry residents’ belongings, open and close walkers and wheelchairs, carry oxygen tanks and follow basic instructions and precautions in their use)
• Run errands for events and community as requested
• Conduct periodic checks of bus operation including fuel, oil, wipers, fluids, lights, etc
• Maintain cleanliness of bus, ensuring interior and exterior are clean, vacuumed, and free of garbage
• Maintain logs and records pertaining to vehicle service

Requirements

• Must be a driver in good standing and able to pass a background check with insurance provider
• Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a bus
• Prior experience working with seniors is preferred

Schedule

• Flexible hours required
• Day, evening, and weekend shifts will be required
