Bus Driver

About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to assist residents in their transportation needs by driving passenger buses to and from activities and destinations, ensuring the safety of all passengers.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily and weekly route schedules as well as special requests.
• Aid residents with loading and unloading the bus, including operating lifts, carrying residents' belongings, opening and closing walkers and wheelchairs, carrying oxygen tanks, and following basic instructions and precautions in their use.
• Conduct periodic checks of bus operation, including fuel, oil, wipers, fluids, lights, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bus, ensuring both the interior and exterior are clean, vacuumed, and free of garbage.
• Keep logs and records pertaining to vehicle service.

Requirements

• Must be a driver in good standing and able to pass a background check with an insurance provider.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a bus, with prior experience working with seniors preferred.
• Flexible schedule required, including availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
