Responsibilities
- Drive daily and weekly route schedules as well as special requests to assist residents with transportation needs.
- Assist residents with loading and unloading the bus (operate lift, carry belongings, open/close walkers and wheelchairs, carry oxygen tanks, and follow basic instructions for their use).
- Run errands for events and the community as requested.
- Conduct periodic checks of bus operation (fuel, oil, wipers, fluids, lights, etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness of the bus (interior and exterior, vacuum, remove garbage).
- Maintain logs and records pertaining to vehicle service.
Requirements
- Must be a driver in good standing and able to pass a background check with the insurance provider.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a bus; prior experience working with seniors is preferred.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.
