Bus Driver

Job Description

The primary responsibility is to operate a school bus safely and efficiently, transporting students to and from their designated schools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during transportation.
• Monitor students' behavior and ensure they remain seated and supervised.
• Load and unload students and equipment in a safe manner.
• Drive the bus on established routes according to the schedule.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members.
• Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• At least two years of driving experience.
• Passing scores on a background check and drug test.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and emergency procedures.

• First aid and CPR certification preferred.
