Bus Driver

About the role

The Community Bus Driver plays a critical role for our residents by providing transportation services to and from appointments and activities.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents in and out of the vehicle utilizing ramps, wheelchair tie downs, and lifts
• Provide safe and secure travel for residents
• Create a comforting, calm, and engaging atmosphere for residents
• Work as part of a team to deliver excellent care for residents
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence) to residents, family members, customers, and staff

Requirements

• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Valid CDL license required for communities that have a bus that carries 15 or more passengers
• Good standing and current Operator’s License
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
