About the role
Classical Charter Schools Bus Attendants protect and supervise scholars to and from their homes, manage behavior to ensure safety, and establish bus behavior that matches classroom expectations. Bus Attendants work approximately 4 hours per day in two 2‑hour shifts, typically between 6:00 am‑8:00 am and 4:00 pm‑6:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Supervise scholars while on the bus and strictly enforce behavioral expectations.
- Seat scholars based on their behavior and bus stop order.
- Transition scholars in organized lines between the school building and the bus.
- Call the school after the last scholar is dropped off so staff can leave.
- Call the school if a parent is not at the bus stop to coordinate a pickup time.
Qualifications
- 21 years old or older.
- High School Diploma.
- Any experience working with children.
- Certification through the Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) preferred; if not certified at hire, may apply for certification (exams, training, fingerprinting).

Schedule
Two 2‑hour shifts per day, generally 6:00 am‑8:00 am and 4:00 pm‑6:00 pm.
