Bus Assistant
Responsibilities
- Aid students in entering or exiting the bus safely.
- Show the highest ethical standards and personal integrity; report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to a supervisor or manager.
- Secure students using seat belts, car seats, or wheelchair restraints as needed.
- Maintain vigilance over passengers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and student conduct rules.
- Communicate and apply discipline according to company policy when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old; for New York School Bus Assistants, must be at least 19 years old per state law.
- Meet physical and medical requirements.
- Satisfactorily complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings to remain qualified.
- Show attention to detail and dexterity to safely use various restraints and secure wheelchairs.

Pay
