Bus Aide

Responsibilities

• Aid passengers on and off vehicles and ensure appropriate securements.
• Maintain order and monitor passengers during transport.
• Act as liaison between client agency personnel and operations staff.
• Communicate and resolve issues affecting agency clients, caretakers, and other passengers.
• Secure and safely remove passengers in case of accident or emergency.
• Diffuse difficult situations in a positive manner.
• Ensure a safe and clean vehicle condition at the start and end of each shift.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch or central office personnel.
• Navigate and find locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with passenger assistance or working with persons with disabilities.
• Monitoring passengers or groups of people in an enclosed environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Map reading and directional skills.

Starting Pay Rate

$20.85/hour
