Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend to guest at their table or the counter, informing them of daily specials, taking orders, serving food, clearing tables and preparing their bill.
• Prepare and serve beverages and ensure that the car and coolers are adequately stocked.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and dining area.
• Keep all condiment containers clean and filled.
• Receive and visually inspect guest check for any inaccuracies, then close the check to the proper method of payment.
• Absorb and respond to guests' needs promptly and courteously in a professional and friendly manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Serve food quickly and accurately with excellent customer service.
• Absorb and respond to guests' needs promptly and courteously in a professional and friendly manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist in food preparation as required.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products, as assigned to adhere to health standards.
• Absorb and respond to guests' needs promptly and courteously in a professional and friendly manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Abide by all state, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Perform all side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking kitchen shelves with supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months’ related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Comprehend and communicate either verbal in English and non-verbal methods.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English and respond in writing.
• Respond effectively to questions from groups of managers and associates.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

• Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Physical Demands

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
