Bulk Shipping & Receiving Associate
About the role
The Bulk Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient transferring of raw materials and finished products to-and-from tanker trucks and railcars. This is a safety-sensitive position performed primarily outdoors. The general work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM, subject to change.
Job Duties
- Loads/unloads bulk raw materials and products from tanker trucks and railcars using heavy duty 3” camlock fitting chemical hoses and regulated air supply and/or a portable pump weighing 50-70 lbs
- Retrieves one 4oz sample bottle from incoming tankers and/or railcars and delivers to onsite lab for approval
- Climbs up and down 15-foot ladder on bulk tankers and/or railcars to attach air supply hose to air valve
- Works as a team to cover all inbound bulk material deliveries
- Transfers incoming product into IBC bulk tote containers using an electric mobile scale when needed and transfers finished product to designated area by forklift
- Communicates with drivers and coworkers to properly and efficiently process transactions and inventory moves within ERP system
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment, ensuring equipment and area is in optimal condition
- Uses proper PPE at all times
- Works within a safety conscious environment
- Other duties as assigned by management team
Experience
1-year experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Education
A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Can work independently when needed, while also a solid team player
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

Work Conditions
- Warehouse/plant and outdoor environment including but not limited to exposure to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, working in confined spaces, and exposure to the risk of electrical shock
- Subject to all temperatures and weather
