Bulk Seed Technician

Nutrien is a leading provider of crop inputs and services, dedicated to “Feeding the Future.” Nutrien Ag Solutions, the retail division, operates over 2,000 locations across North America, South America, and Australia, offering a full‑acre suite of products and services—including proprietary seed brands, financial, custom application, and precision‑ag solutions—through a network of nearly 26,000 employees.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload seed trucks during harvest operations.
• Monitor seed quality by checking moisture and temperature levels regularly.
• Collect and evaluate bin samples and monitor stored seed for insect activity.
• Operate aeration systems and fans to maintain proper storage conditions.
• Transport seed to the processing facility as needed.
• Clean trucks, augers, belts, and other equipment between varieties to ensure seed purity.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain equipment in safe working conditions.
• Support a strong safety culture by following all company safety policies and participating in daily safety meetings.
• Maintain bulk storage yards, including housekeeping and weed‑control activities.
• Assist other departments and operations as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical ability to work around loading and unloading equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime during peak harvest and processing seasons.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one.
• Forklift operating experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in agriculture, grain handling, seed production, or warehouse environments.
