Bulk Operator / Loader

This non-exempt role reports to the Foreman and involves assisting with terminal and distribution operations, including loading and unloading railcars and tanker trucks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with terminal/distribution operations by performing loading and unloading activities.
• Monitor products transferred to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at terminal sites.
• Assist with terminal maintenance duties to keep equipment in operating condition.
• Catch samples as per Standard Operating Procedure.
• Input information into an electronic hand-held device documenting Standard Operating Procedures.
• Load trucks, railcars, and unload raw materials from outside suppliers and intra-plant units.
• Track mobile movement and spot railcars and tanker trailers.
• Assist customers and/or producers with any problems that may arise.
• Perform special assignment duties and respond to call-outs as required.

Subject to random DOT drug screening.

Requirements

• Occasional overtime during the busy season.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Mandatory background check and drug testing.

Physical Demands

Employee may be required to perform the following tasks:

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc., above and below ground level.
• Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures.
• Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials.
• Coordinating movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
• Lifting 30 to 100 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
• Carrying objects, tools, and equipment.
• Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, and crawling.
• Seeing and hearing with or without correction.
