About the Role

This non-exempt role reports to the Foreman and involves assisting with terminal and distribution operations, including loading and unloading railcars and tanker trucks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with terminal/distribution operations by performing loading and unloading activities.
- Monitor products transferred to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at terminal sites.
- Assist with terminal maintenance duties to keep equipment in operating condition.
- Catch samples as per Standard Operating Procedure.
- Input information into an electronic hand-held device documenting Standard Operating Procedures.
- Load trucks, railcars, and unload raw materials from outside suppliers and intra-plant units.
- Track mobile movement and spot railcars and tanker trailers.
- Assist customers and/or producers with any problems that may arise.
- Perform special assignment duties and respond to call-outs as required.
Subject to random DOT drug screening.
Requirements
- Occasional overtime during the busy season.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Mandatory background check and drug testing.
Physical Demands
Employee may be required to perform the following tasks:
- Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc., above and below ground level.
- Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures.
- Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials.
- Coordinating movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
- Lifting 30 to 100 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
- Carrying objects, tools, and equipment.
- Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, and crawling.
- Seeing and hearing with or without correction.
