Bulk Merchandiser

About the role

Bulk Merchandisers work in local stores to keep our products fully stocked on the shelves and in the coolers. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and maintaining products at all designated accounts. The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work. In addition, Bulk Merchandisers participate in our CDL School in order to obtain their Class A license. The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. You will require above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. You will be task oriented, requiring you to be conservative, careful, and cautious in your approach to work.

Crescent Crown sells and delivers more than 40 million cases annually throughout its distribution territories in Arizona and Louisiana. Crescent Crown Distributing is one of the largest distributors in the United States for over 20 years.

Responsibilities

• Must study for and successfully pass CDL permit test prior to logging hours toward obtaining Class A CDL license.
• Ride along with partner and/or drives truck to deliver and merchandiser beer and non-alcoholic drinks to customer’s place or business.
• Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt.
• Records deliveries information on daily delivery record.
• Informs regular customers of new products or services.
• Listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Places stock on shelves or racks.
• Sets up merchandise and displays or issues point of sale materials to customers.
• Collects or picks up empty containers of rejected or unsold merchandise.
• Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Maintains a clean truck.
• Performs routine pre and post trip on truck and assigned equipment.

Work Setting: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to the following work environments: frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions; noise level usually moderate; exposed to extreme cold temperatures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid AZ driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be 20 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write simple correspondence; able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
