About the role

The Driver, Delivery Services position involves safe, efficient completion of daily delivery tasks, maintaining a clean professional appearance, adhering to safety standards, and contributing to sales enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, efficient completion of daily delivery tasks, including package scanning and delivery/pickup, collecting required proof, and escalating barriers.
  • Meet or exceed all safety and performance standards and display a clean professional appearance.
  • Complete and adhere to all Safety driving standards, including vehicle inspections, driving behaviors, and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Load, unload, and secure products, ensuring customers receive clean and damage-free merchandise.
  • Contribute continuous improvement ideas and suggestions for improved delivery experience.
  • Actively pursue opportunities for sales enablement through lead generation and promoting sales offerings.
  • Communicate customer feedback to sales and/or supervisory personnel.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain an accident-free driving record with no moving violations over a 36-month period.
  • Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for vehicles exceeding 26,000 lb. GVW and Hazmat Delivery.
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification.

Qualifications

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of commercial driving experience, with package delivery experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, loading docks, desktop, and bulk deliveries preferred.
  • Experience using POD or tablet device for scanning customer products and GPS routing.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, using the English language.
  • Basic product knowledge to enable safe handling of goods.
  • Knowledge of operation of power/mobile equipment.
  • Geographical knowledge of the delivery service area.
  • Ability to transport single cartons up to 75 pounds and handle items up to 200 lbs.
  • Ability to use manual and/or powered pallet jacks to transport pallets of products up to 2,500 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather due to various climate changes.
  • Repetitive lifting of paper, continuous climbing in and out of vehicle.
  • Ability to stand on foot for long periods of time, continuous walking including multiple flights of stairs.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $20.00/hour to $22.00/hour, with compliance with state and local minimum wages.
