Bulk Driver

About the role

We are hiring a Bulk Driver in Owosso, MI for the Ammonia production & filling facility. The position involves delivering Ammonia products to local customers on a scheduled route or intermittently. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, managing loading and unloading procedures, performing safety checks, and communicating with customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Ammonia products to local customers on a scheduled route or intermittently.
• Record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtain customer signatures for receipt purposes.
• Foster understanding regarding service inquiries and customer needs.
• Collaboratively manage loading/unloading truck procedures.
• Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies, and ensuring all safety items are in excellent working order.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance and maintain vehicle appearance in a professional manner.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of CDL A experience within the last 4 years
• No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years
• No more than 2 minor tickets in the last 3 years
• No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc) in the last 3 years
• No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support"
• No DUI in the last 7 years
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs or more
• Enhanced License or Passport will be required upon hire (travel to Canada required)

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend material safety data sheets
• Lead the delivery of hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also expected
• Some overnight stays may be expected

Skills

• Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Experience with hazardous cargo delivery
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail for record keeping
• Knowledge of safety protocols

Pay

$34/Hour, typically a 55-hour work week with overtime after 40 hours/week (double time for work performed on Sundays and Holidays).

Schedule

Monday to Friday schedule with occasional weekend work.
