Bulk Driver

About the role

We are hiring a Bulk Tanker Driver in Greely (Denver) CO! The position involves delivering products to local customers on a scheduled route or intermittently. Key responsibilities include recording deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt, resolving service inquiries and complaints, performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining proper vehicle appearance, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtain customer signatures for receipt.
• Resolve service inquiries and complaints.
• Engage in loading/unloading truck procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies, and ensuring all safety items are in good working order.
• Maintain neat, clean, and professional personal appearance and vehicle appearance.
• Safely handle Anhydrous Ammonia/Ammonium Hydroxide according to Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Communicate with customers regarding SOPs.
• Maintain load manifests and other vehicle documents, ensuring they are correctly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents.
• Maintain appropriate driver's license/endorsements.
• Read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is required.
• Work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
• Use basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers.
• Operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Work overtime if necessary.
• Occasionally stay overnight on a limited basis.

Requirements

• At least 25 years old.
• Class A CDL with at least 2 years' CMV experience, tanker/hazmat endorsements required before hire date.
• Graduation from an accredited truck driving school with a diploma counts as 1 year of required experience.
• No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 minor tickets in the previous 3 years.
• No serious violation tickets (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc.) in the previous 3 years.
• No suspensions of CDL in the previous 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support."
• No DUI in the last 7 years.
• Able to lift 60 lbs. or more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Tanker experience preferred.

Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Safe driving habits and adherence to safety protocols.
