About the role

Join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk - #50 in Ontario. Located at 1000 N Mountain Ave., Ontario, California, 91762.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Assist customers, clean, fill and rotate the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• Replenish product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager in a specifically assigned area.
• Assist customers throughout the entire shift.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

Qualifications

The opportunity requires candidates to have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Writing simple correspondence is also required. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Candidates must be able to assist customers, clean, fill and rotate the cheese and deli displays, and replenish product as directed.

Pay

$16.90 per hour starting rate.

Schedule

The position offers two different shifts: the morning shift involves replenishing product and assisting customers, while the afternoon shift focuses on maintaining the cleanliness of the department.
