Schedule
- 5:00am – 6:00am start time until completion of the route
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday as well as during the week

About the role
This role provides flexible career opportunities by covering vacations and open territories, working closely with local leaders. The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist supports the POD Model in the One Tier Sales Strategy within a 24/7 operation, particularly as Dollar General and some independent grocers transition from Small Store to the Large Store channel. Responsibilities include vacation coverage, weekend route support, and acting as a liaison between customers, merchandisers, and drivers for order refusals and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Execute commercial plans on daily, pre-set routes for assigned customers.
- Stock, merchandise, and rotate all beverage sections and displays.
- Manage all ordering aspects, maintain proper inventory levels, minimize shrink, and organize back rooms.
- Build displays as per local agreements.
- Provide vacation coverage for Sales Merchandisers and Merchandisers.
- Support day-to-day operations during key holidays or when territories are open.
- Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on shelves and displays according to procedures and special programs.
- Generate sales orders based on assigned delivery frequency to ensure operational success and contribute to revenue, volume, and gross profit.
- Execute promotions, new product launches, and monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives to achieve high RED (Right Execution Daily) scores.
- Organize and maintain back rooms by arranging products, managing returns of empty pallets, damaged, or out-of-date products.
- Create and distribute point-of-sale materials where permitted.
- Rotate product and maintain Fastlane merchandisers and vendors.
- Foster relationships with store personnel through proactive communication on pricing, programs, and opportunities.
- Identify and communicate competitive issues or market activities that could impact business.
- Act as the first call point for late PM/early AM weekend coverage and liaison for order refusals and inventory overload.
- Perform all duties in a safe working manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 years of work experience
- Valid Driver's License
