Building Substitute Teacher

Building Substitute Teacher position at Emily G. Johns Intermediate School (grades 4–6) for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year.

Qualifications

• Substitute teaching certificate required
• PEL, Type 03 or Type 04 preferred
• ESL preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and supervision for students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, following provided lesson plans and maintaining established classroom routines
• Adapt to diverse classroom environments and grade levels
• Collaborate with staff and administration to support students' academic and behavioral needs
• Manage classroom behavior to create a safe and productive learning environment
• Assist with non-teaching duties as needed, such as supervising transitions, lunch, and other common areas
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration to ensure instructional objectives are met

Pay

$140 per day

Schedule

Follows the regular school calendar and hours.
