Responsibilities
- Teach core subjects in a variety of settings including 5th-8th grade, 6th-8th Spanish, art, music, drama/theater, health/p.e., CTE/IT, digital literacy, music, P.E., STEM, technology, reading, world language, and math/social studies.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and support student growth.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in education or related field.
- Valid teaching license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- Experience in teaching the relevant subject area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse and multicultural environments.
