About the role
Touchmark at Harwood Grove is Fargo's premier retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services, and amenities. We are currently seeking a candidate with a passion for excellent customer service and outstanding hospitality to join our team as the Building Services Director.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire Building Services department on our campus.
- Coordinate and supervise the various Building Services projects throughout our community.
- Manage tasks such as apartment and home refurbishment;
- Landscaping and grounds keeping;
- Housekeeping;
- Electrical maintenance and installation;
- Heating and cooling systems;
- Ordering project parts/supplies;
- Ensuring all state and federal codes are met;
- Maintaining the Building Services budget.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of education and experience in the trade services.
- 5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Successful previous record of responsible stewardship of a multi-faceted budget.
- Previous positions must demonstrate increasingly responsible experience in large campus management and 5+ years’ experience managing staff.
- A strong understanding of building systems to include: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Life Safety, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, etc.
- Possession of valid driver's License.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
