Building Priority Substitute
Brief Description / Position Summary
Yorkville CUSD 115 is in need of a priority substitute for Bristol Bay Elementary School for the 26-27 School Year.
Qualifications / Skills
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License or Substitute License
- Substitute Teaching Authorization
To obtain a Substitute License, applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution and contact the Regional Office of Education for processing.
Those holding a Teaching License do not need a Substitute License.
After obtaining the Substitute License and registering with Grundy/Kendall County ROE, you will receive a "Substitute Teacher Authorization" from the ROE. This authorization requires providing:
- A physical examination, within 90 days
- $50 cash or check covering the required fingerprinting
- Fingerprint Authorization and Release Form (obtained at the ROE)
- Substitute Teacher Information Form (obtained at ROE)
- Acknowledgement of Mandated Reporter Status Form and Training (obtained at ROE)
Once all steps are completed, bring the Substitute Teacher Authorization with attached fingerprint results to the Yorkville School District Office.
Substitute teachers for the Yorkville School District are paid $145/day with a Priority Substitute Quarterly Bonus.
