Building Performance Field Tech

About the role

Seeking a full-time technician to conduct visual inspections, diagnostic testing, and data collection on single-family homes to verify compliance with energy and green certifications such as Energy Star, NGBS, and LEED.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new residential buildings for code adherence and assess energy-efficient construction features
• Perform diagnostic tests for air and duct leakage
• Communicate with builders and trades to support sustainability goals
• Enter accurate real-time data into energy modeling software
• Use computer tools including iOS, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Excel
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including crawl spaces and attics

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years licensed driving experience; preference for 5+ years with a clean driving record
• Preferred certifications: OSHA 10, HERS Rater, RFI, NGBS Green Verifier, BPI, RESNET
