Building Maintenance Mechanic II

Regular, full-time position (40 hours per week, 12 months per year) assigned to any of the four campus locations: Oceanside Campus, San Elijo Campus, Community Learning Center, and Technology Career Institute. Normal work schedule is 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Assignment may include any district facility during hours of operation.

Residency Requirement: All employees must maintain a principal residence in California within 200 road miles of their assigned worksite. Temporary exceptions may be requested on a case-by-case basis for up to 12 consecutive months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform skilled maintenance and repair of district buildings and facilities.
• Coordinate with service contractors.
• Maintain facilities in a safe and secure condition.
• Maintain district lock and key system.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Pay

Starting salary: $74,873 per year (Range 22, Step 1), with annual step increases up to Step 5.
