Building Maintenance - Environmental Services Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair the facility's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, and other critical equipment.
- Address and resolve work orders promptly, including minor repairs to fixtures, doors, flooring, and furniture.
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and manage building systems, including lighting, heating, cooling, and security.
- Aid in emergency response situations, such as power outages or water leaks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire code regulations.
- Cook with external vendors for specialized repairs and inspections.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or certification in building maintenance, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a similar role, ideally in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Skills And Competencies
- Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
