About the role

• Intern will assist in conducting inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
• Intern will work closely with other city staff to review and approve building plans and documents.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled or have recently graduated from a trade school or college accredited in the field of building construction/inspection, construction management, engineering, architecture, fire science/fire protection, or planning/sustainability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
