Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site liaison between the contractor, design team, and owner for all inspection-related activities
- Observe and inspect all phases of construction including site work, structural systems, architectural elements, MEP installations, and finishes
- Ensure contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and detailed records including daily inspection reports, logs, photographs, and as-built documentation
- Absorb and resolve field issues, coordinate with contractors and design professionals to address RFIs and non-conformance items
- Support punch list development, final inspections, and project closeout activities
- Promote adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures on-site
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in construction inspection, building inspection, or related field services
- Strong experience on large-scale, multi-phase construction projects, preferably within aviation, transportation, or public infrastructure
- Solid understanding of construction practices, materials, and applicable building codes and standards
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Demonstrated expertise in construction observation, field coordination, and QA/QC practices
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with FAA and airport authority standards a plus
