About the role
The role of Building Inspector involves conducting inspections to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and special inspections of construction projects
- Review plans and specifications for compliance with building codes
- Issue permits and investigate complaints related to building code violations
- Provide technical guidance to contractors and developers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building inspection or related field
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Experience with building information modeling (BIM)
- Knowledge of construction materials and methods
