Building Inspector

Daily Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent relationships with BOP client representatives, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
• Cook up coordination and inspection of the construction work of the contractor on behalf of BOP.
• Prepare daily reports.
• Review and report on contractor schedule progress.
• Cook up coordination with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate 3rd-party special material testing inspections.
• Review and provide input on design documents and potential change order issues.
• Maintain project records.
• Manage project photographic records.
• Verify of field surveys.
• Report on project issues and provide status updates.
• Perform other duties as may be required.

Required Qualifications

• Shall have a High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience inspecting various types of construction scope of work, including concrete.
• The inspector should have specialized training and experience providing similar services on projects of comparable complexity.
• Shall have knowledge of OSHA safety regulations with 30HR OSHA Safety card (prior to start).
• Shall be proficient with Microsoft Office software and the ability to create and edit Microsoft word and excel files.
• Shall be proficient with Adobe Acrobat and be able to create and edit .pdf documents.
• Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to bring assignments to completion independently.
• Ability to work well with others, and a willingness to learn in a team environment.
• Proven record of accomplishments as an inspector on a variety of construction projects.
• Shall be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Construction Management software such as Kahua or Procore.
• Experience as an inspector on government projects.
