About the role
CBRE is seeking Mobile Building Engineers to support several facilities in the Atlanta, GA area. This role supports repairs and maintenance of various buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and ground requests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
- Oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share knowledge of job discipline and broader knowledge within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Work to build consensus and convince others to reach agreements.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a building engineer; minimum of four (4) years.
- Universal EPA license required.
- Mobile maintenance experience highly preferred.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks.
- Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.
Qualifications
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Understand existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Apply appropriate judgment and precedents when analyzing possible solutions.
- Show strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Show in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
