Responsibilities
- Directs engineering staff and service contractors for maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Supports implementation and documentation of safety plans and operational standards.
- Install, adjust, repair plumbing equipment such as faucets, flushometers, and drainage systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair building-wide systems like potable water, grey water, and septic systems.
- Coordinate building inventories, place orders, track orders, and manage invoices using the purchase order system.
- Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment, as well as building structure.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor or delegate.
- Foster a safety-conscious environment and ensure BAS/DDC systems are operating efficiently.
- Participate in building operational audits, inspections, and walkthroughs.
- Make daily entries and record pertinent data in Building Engines.
- Supervise designated reports, contractors, and inspectors.
- Advise and assist On-Call Engineers during after-hours events.
- Provide high-quality customer service and mentor junior staff.
- Comply with all applicable codes, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize communications tools effectively and maintain regular workplace attendance.
- Generate electrical load calculations as required.
- Train team members on safety, technical, and administrative matters.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong employee relations, coaching, and training skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Building Engines.
- Ability to operate BAS/EMS system and generate reports.
- Experience in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical maintenance.
- State/local licenses for stationary engineer and HVAC, and EPA Universal Refrigerant License.
- Knowledge of energy conservation strategies and formal training.
- Labor and Industries 07 electrical training card with intent to become a licensed electrician.
- BOMA accredited courses desirable.
