About the role

At Verizon, you will be responsible for the monitoring, testing, preventative maintenance and repair of infrastructure equipment and associated electrical, alarming and monitoring systems, to ensure they remain in a fully operational condition, utilizing your knowledge of power theory, and structural layout, per specifications and operational procedures in Verizon Network Facility locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair of the physical facilities structures, security and peripheral systems.
  • Handle the emergency power backup systems and physical facility remedies at all technical facilities.
  • As the first responder during natural disasters or any facilities threat to the network’s integrity, your role will be critical in ensuring best in class customer experience.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on Generators, DC Plants/Batteries/Rectifiers, UPS, ATS/SwitchGear.
  • Provide maintenance and repair of related energy management systems.
  • Maintain dedicated large-scale DC plants including rectifiers, inverters, -48V busway distribution, and centralized battery topologies.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Oversee comprehensive generator PM programs including monthly load runs, yearly fluid analyses, and annual full-load bank testing to guarantee 100% emergency readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule (shifts) including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ventilating and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical work and heating plant operations and maintenance.
  • Commercial HVAC experience.
  • Vocational or Technical school training in ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical work and heating plant operations and maintenance.
  • Valid EPA Certification.

Pay

The annual salary range for the Colorado location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $83,000.00 - $136,000.00. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
