About the role
This position maintains, operates, and troubleshoots building systems—HVAC, plumbing, and electrical—under the guidance of senior engineers. The role focuses on routine maintenance, tenant service requests, and system safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
- Address tenant service requests (hot/cold calls, plumbing, lighting).
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate issues as needed.
- Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
- Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies; assist with preventive maintenance and contractor oversight.
- Follow company safety protocols and use PPE; ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations; report hazards and participate in safety audits.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; handle urgent tenant requests and support recovery during severe weather or system outages.
- Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; collaborate with senior engineers and technicians.
- Develop technical skills through mentorship and professional development programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
- Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national regulations.
- CFC Certification preferred.
- Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and work order systems, email, and training platforms.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; perform physically demanding tasks (stooping, crouching, kneeling).
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay
Pay range: $30 USD – $33 USD per hour.
Schedule
100% in-office during standard business hours; remote work is not an option. On-call rotations and emergency response required.
