Building Engineer

Position Overview

The Building Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and operation of mechanical and electrical systems in a complex data center environment. Provides assistance to external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and mechanical projects. Supports facility safety policies and participates in safety training and initiatives. Works on a 12-hour shift schedule, contributing to the reliability and safety of critical data center facilities. Reports to the Facilities Manager and ensures operational excellence of the building systems.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of electrical and mechanical experience working in high availability environments like data centers, manufacturing, or hospitals.
• Experience with electric/pneumatic controls operation.
• Assists in the formulation, implementation, and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Participation in safety, knowledge, and skills training.
• CFC refrigeration license a plus.
