About the Role
The Building Engineer ensures that Eagleville Hospital’s infrastructure, utilities, and systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. This role combines technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems with hands-on maintenance and problem-solving skills to support the hospital’s mission and daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, installation, and repair of commercial/residential HVAC systems and HVAC & Boiler equipment
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex building system issues
- Proficient in understanding Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Work with electrical systems and troubleshoot electrical control circuits
- Troubleshoot fire alarm systems, sprinkler, and emergency systems
- Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages or water leaks, including a rotating on-call schedule
- Maintain and update work orders and daily logs
- Perform snow removal when needed
- Experience in carpentry, lock repairs, painting, patching, and wall coverings is a plus
- Use hand and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
Skills
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, implement preventive maintenance programs, and maintain service records to extend equipment life and prevent system failures
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations
- Communication: Ability to coordinate with management, contractors, and tenants effectively
Work Environment
This position requires working in a variety of environments, including office settings, outdoor settings, and various building locations.

- Valid driver’s license in good standing to drive Eagleville vehicles
