Building Engineer

Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance systems run efficiently to ensure client and property safety.
- Respond to client requests, prioritize and assign work orders, and follow up to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections, test alarms, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, suppliers, and department leaders.
- Manage multiple priorities and reports, including inventory, records, and schedules.
- Maintain and check daily operating logs for air conditioning, fan units, graph charts, utility meters, and general complaints.
- Handle building systems and tenant service requests efficiently at the most economical cost.
- Aid in the development of the annual budget and RFP process for budgeted projects.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of operating procedures and proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in building/property maintenance or engineering experience.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems, and other building mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).
- Flexibility to be on-call for after-hours/weekend emergency requests.
- Active boiler license.
- A valid driver's license.

Pay
The approximate compensation range for this role is $32.59/hour to $40/hr. The range is determined by role, level, and location.
